How to Make a Thai Stem Compress for Feet (OPEN ENROLLMENT)

The healing practice of Thai herbal compress therapy dates back nearly 5,000 years in Thailand. An herbal stem, sometimes referred to as a compress or ball, is steamed to release the healing properties of the herbs contained within, when pressed against or along specific body parts…in our case, the feet. We will experiment with creating our own herbal ‘recipes’, marrying Thai tradition with modern knowledge, and learn different ways to tie and prepare the stems for use. We will then use our stems in a mini-treatment created just for this class.
